Cu Bocan's Green Innovations | Experimental Whisky | Environmentally conscious

Cù Bòcan Single Malt is made at Tomatin Distillery, a Highland Distillery just 15 miles south of Inverness. In late 2005, after Tomatin had achieved its annual production quota, our Distillery Manager at the time brought in a load of lightly peated barley allowing us to produce our own peated spirit for the last week of the year.

This production coincided with incredibly low water temperatures which allow for faster distillate condensation, and results in a slightly oilier mouthfeel in the new make spirit. Recognising the quality of this spirit, Cù Bòcan has been produced in small batches every winter at Tomatin Distillery since 2005.

Tomatin Distillery is home to a portfolio of brands including Tomatin Single Malt brand and premium blend The Antiquary.

The Tomatin Distillery Visitor Centre is currently open Friday-Sunday, booking in advance for tours is mandatory; please email visitors@tomatin.com or call +44 01463 248 144 to book.
