A very special Supper Club... £25k raised for Maggie's Highlands

Earlier this month, on the 1st and 2nd of November, renowned Scottish chef Tony Singh MBE took his famous private dining Supper Club to the Highlands for the very first time. We were truly thrilled to once again collaborate with Tony, as his vibrant personality and exceptional talent in creating exciting and mouth-watering dishes perfectly complement our experimental Highland Single Malt.

For these exclusive evening events, Tony was joined by the esteemed Harrod's Head Pastry Chef, Alistair Birt, in the rare setting of Tomatin distillery after sundown. Together, they combined their expertise, treating guests to two extraordinary dining experiences. With only 24 tickets available for each event, this was a truly intimate and unforgettable occasion.

A highlight of the evening was Alistair's dessert creation featuring Saint Dominque chocolate and Cù Bòcan 15-year-old single malt. This special expression, fully matured in Oloroso Sherry casks and released in September of this year, added a unique twist to the chocolate dish.

These Supper Club events would not have been such a huge success if it were not for the support from Culloden House, who also supplied the wines for the evening with support from de Burgh Wine Merchants.

What made these Supper Clubs even more special was that all the proceeds from the events were directly donated to Maggie's Highlands. Maggie’s is a vital organization that provides emotional and psychological support for those facing cancer, as well as assistance with the practical, day-to-day challenges that come with the illness. Additionally, Maggie's extends its support not only to cancer patients but also to their loved ones, including children, through their Children’s Support Groups.

Maggie's Highlands heavily depends on voluntary donations to cover its annual running costs of £500,000, which enables the organization to support over 450 individuals battling cancer on a weekly basis. Therefore, the £22,000 raised through our Supper Club events holds immense significance, contributing towards a total donation of over £25,000 raised this year to support the invaluable work of Maggie's Highlands. By joining forces with talented chefs like Tony Singh and Alistair Birt, we aim not only to create exceptional dining experiences but also to make a positive impact on the community. We are grateful to everyone who attended our Supper Club events and contributed to this important cause, ensuring that Maggie's Highlands can continue providing the crucial support needed by individuals and families affected by cancer. https://www.maggies.org/our-centres/maggies-highlands/
